Prayer Breakfast Gallery 1

The first prayer breakfast organised by the Prayer Ministries Team in Plumstead was a huge success. Despite the 8 am start time, more than 50 individuals attended, including some visitors from the local community. All who were present were greatly blessed and inspired by the messages of hope and encouragement that were delivered, and it seems like this is the start of something that will take place on a regular basis in the church calendar.

The mornings events started with lively praise and worship, followed by individuals reading texts containing bible promises, pulled from a promises box. After reading their texts some individuals share testimonies or thoughts on their promises.

A devotion was given and prayer offered before breakfast

was served. There were lots of delicious cooked breakfast dishes from around the world, including oatmeal and cornmeal porridge. Continental breakfast was also available for anyone who wanted it, along with lots of fresh fruit.

During breakfast the hall was alive with happy chatter and laughter as folks conversed.

After the meal, the children went on to arts and craft activities along with kid's praise, while the adults took part in a treasure hunt. The two adult teams 'Hunger' and 'Thirst' had to solve cryptic clues revolving around around breakfast food items in order to find the other clues, ultimately leading to the 'treasure.' The exercise required teamwork and brought much laughter as the two teams tried to solve their clues before the other. The treasures that were found were in the form of laminated book markers containing Bible promises. The promises were shared with the whole group and individuals were given the tokens to take away with them.

The session ended with prayer and the 'Power Hour' was started....(continued - Prayer Breakfast Gallery 2)
